Mr Friendly | Springfield MA photographer

This was my third 5 year old boy in a week- living with my own active 5 year old boy, I was on family territory for sure. Mr J and his big sister Miss B have a very sweet relationship. Miss B is so great with him, patient, sweet and many times only she could get him to cooperate by creating some secret mission that requires him to look at the camera. Mr J was very interested in directing the shoot- good thing he didn't get his hands on my camera- I think I might have some competition in the future! Mr J is a blur of motion and the best way to photograph him was on the move- I tried to keep up!

Pretty sure this is a favorite activity of 5 year olds everywhere.

Stephanie and Joe's Wedding |Springfield, MA Wedding Photographer

People ask me if I do weddings. The answer is yes, but I have a few requirements. First I am a natural light photographer and as of now my flash and I do not have a great relationship so I try to limit myself to weddings that are outside or in well lit situations, I feel that is best for both me and the bride. The second requirement is that I need laid back brides :)

Stephanie and Joe fit perfectly into my requirements. If you watched the weather at all this week you know that the weather today was touch and go- they were very close to having the wedding inside and I was going to have to get to know my flash a little better. Luckily Mother Nature gave the first blessing to this marriage and the forecast changed overnight!

One of my favorite things about weddings are the details:
first a beautiful location, The Delany House...

next a cool cupcake wedding cake, courtesy of the bride's brother I believe...

at every place setting there was a little box just like this, I am told they contained chocolate. I am proud to tell you that I didn't rip into them before everyone arrived...

Of course my favorite details of the wedding are the two primary people, the groom...

and the bride...

two cute bridesmaids don't hurt either...

Anyone that knows me, knows that this is one of my favorite pictures at every wedding, the groom's face when he sees his beautiful bride coming down the aisle...

And I think this is the groom's favorite moment- the kiss!

Every groom needs some guys to make sure he makes it down the aisle and Joe had a quite a crowd- aren't they good sports?

Not to be left out Stephanie was surrounded by her own great group.

Stephanie's daughter was her maid of honor and she did a great job!

But my most FAVORITE part about photographing a wedding is that I get to take pictures of people that are truly happy. And nothing is more beautiful than a happy person...

don't you agree??

Every time I photograph a wedding I am truly grateful that this couple has welcomed me into their circle for their special day. I always wish that my pictures can do their day justice. Thank you Stephanie and Joe- best wishes!

Perfect Timing | Springfield MA photographer

Mom contacted me last week to schedule a photoshoot in her front yard. They have a beautiful crabapple tree that was ready to bloom and they wanted family pictures beneath the tree. While the sun decided to hide the tree was more than happy to cooperate. What do you think? Mom was right huh- a beautiful place for family pictures and perfect timing!

This is Mr S, he was a hoot, very friendly and outgoing.

This is Miss S and she is a Daddy's girl for sure- Daddy could get her to squeal with delight everytime!
See? Daddy's girl for sure!

More Cuties | Springfield MA Photographer

Three more cuties came after the last family. Mr A reminds me a bit of my little guy and he kept us all on our toes running around. I love when one of the first pictures I take is this cute...

Here are all three of them- aren't they sweet?

Couldn't decide which ones of Miss I to share, so you get to see them both.

Beautiful Family | Springfield MA Photographer

Well things are certainly picking up with the weather. I had two shoots yesterday at Stanley Park- and while the clouds threatened they stayed away from us. First up is this beautiful family. When they arrived little Mr C. had just fallen asleep- we all cringed and prepared for the wake up- afraid we were going to be dealing with a cranky baby. But lo and behold the sweetest smiliest baby joined us, who knew a 10 minute nap was all it took.

I love a non smiley photo every once in awhile- and Miss M rocked it!
