Playing around with a new technique. Here is one more from today's session but with a texture twist. What do you think?

Two Beauties

These adorable sisters came to see me today. I love Miss M's curls and her big brown eyes.

Today's Cuties

Miss S and Mr M were supposed to come before Christmas but due to the many colds that December brings we weren't able to make it work, lucky for me they came today instead.


They had so much fun sitting together and posing for their pictures.

Miss S is having her first communion this year so we decided to take a few pictures in her communion dress too.

Adorable Cousins

These four cuties came today in order to have pictures to give to Grandma for her birthday. They are cousins from two different families. They were wonderfully coordinated and did a great job. So here is a little teaser...

Two Beautiful Girls

Spent some time today with these two beauties. Now every once in awhile (ok more often than not) I have these sessions where it doesn't quite go as planned. Go figure- kids. As I leave I see a look on Mom's face, she thinks it was a total loss, I couldn't possibly have gotten anything. Well today was one of those days, so what do you think? Here is Miss N and Miss E....

From Here to Maternity

Meet Shelly. She was a bridesmaid at the wedding I photographed in December. We made plans then for a maternity shoot. The best time for maternity photographs is between 7 1/2 and 8 months while you have the glow and you can still move around. Shelly's baby is due next month, I arrived at her home expecting to see a big ol belly. Imagine my surprise to see this....
Where is her belly?? I kept asking her to stick it out and make sure she wasn't sucking in, she was a great sport- what other time do you get to stick your belly out there happily?

Thank you Shelly and Eric for welcoming me into your home, can't wait to meet your little one.

Two Nice Guys

So I get this call a couple of weeks ago from Dave. He says he found my website and wanted to set up a time for me to take pictures of him and his brother because it is what his mom wants. Now up until this point the calls I receive are from mothers, so it threw me off a little to receive this call. But I am always thrilled to have the chance to photograph older subjects and happily set up a time. At the end of the conversation I asked Dave how he found my blog- not his normal web surfing I assumed. He says his mom found it and showed it to him and told him to call. Well Mom, wherever you are, they did good. They were very cooperative and fun and true to my word I got them out in 20 minutes. I am sure you will find a few good pictures to choose from, but here is a little sneek peak....


We went outside and it had just started snowing, but they were good sports. This is the one picture they really wanted.

Well what do you think? I think they racked up some good points with mom today.
